NY-14 Cara Mia was re-launched in the summer of 2001
after an extensive 8-year restoration project bringing her
back to her original cabin and rig layout. She is now completely
structurally and cosmetically renewed. Her refit is magnificent
and is highlighted by an extraordinary interior with cabinets
and fittings far more elegant and refined than was originally
conceived. The modifications are slight, but their style is
truly "upscale" and she is in complete harmony with
the Edwardian era design of the yachts. She winters in Mystic,
CT and summers in Newport, RI where she can be seen on her
mooring in front of the Museum of Yachting.
